Merge PDF

Combine several PDFs into one, in the order you choose.

Run this tool

The file is processed on this server and deleted as soon as the response is sent. Nothing is stored, and the result is returned directly to you rather than parked behind a link.

The documents
Between 2 and 20 files, each up to 25 MB and 100 MB in total.

The result is one PDF: the first file's pages, then the second's, and so on. Without JavaScript the files are merged in the order your file picker lists them.

Bookmarks, form fields and attachments are not carried over: qpdf copies the pages themselves, which is what "merge" means here.

  3. Run and receive your result: Submit the form to run qpdf --pages directly on this server. Output: One PDF, downloaded immediately. Temporary input files are deleted automatically when processing completes.

Frequently asked questions

How does Merge PDF work on MakeOverPDF?
Combine several PDFs into one, in the order you choose. MakeOverPDF runs qpdf --pages on the server and returns: One PDF, downloaded immediately.
Is Merge PDF free and private to use?
Yes. MakeOverPDF requires no user account, watermarks nothing unless you use the watermark tool, and deletes your uploaded document from the private working directory as soon as the request finishes.
What are the file size and page limits for Merge PDF?
Pages are copied in the order the files are submitted. With JavaScript the form lets you reorder them; without it, the file picker decides the order. What merges is the pages. Bookmarks do not come across at all — measured, not assumed: a merged document starts with no outline — and form fields, attachments and document-level settings are left behind with their file.
